Leyton Taylor, 13, tragically died after taking his own life following what an inquest described as “relentless” bullying at school over his sexuality.
The UK teen was found unconscious at home and died days later in hospital. His family said he was targeted by classmates after they learned he had a boyfriend, facing ongoing taunts and rejection.
The court also heard he was under pressure at home, helping care for his disabled half-brother, and had been disciplined the day he died. His school said it was unaware of the bullying at the time.
The coroner concluded there was no clear evidence he intended to end his life, noting his young age and emotional vulnerability.
His death highlights the devastating impact of bullying and the importance of support for young people.
