Bluegrass musician and acclaimed songwriter Ronnie Bowman has died at 64 after a motorcycle accident in Tennessee.
Born in North Carolina, Bowman began performing at just 3 years old and rose to fame with the Lonesome River Band before launching a successful solo career. Known for blending bluegrass with country and gospel, he became one of Nashville’s most respected songwriters.
His work was recorded by stars like Chris Stapleton, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn, and Lee Ann Womack. Bowman was also a founding member of Band of Ruhks and earned multiple honors from the International Bluegrass Music Association.
