Bailey Cooper was a young boy diagnosed with aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, turning his childhood into a cycle of hospital visits and chemotherapy. Despite the illness, he stayed positive and brought hope to his family.
In early 2017, doctors said he was cancer-free and could return to school, but the disease returned shortly after. He fought bravely again, went into remission a second time, then suffered a devastating third relapse in August 2017—this time Stage 4, with cancer spread to multiple organs and only weeks to live.
Despite the grim prognosis, Bailey held on for one reason: he wanted to meet his baby sister, Millie. Against the odds, he lived long enough to hold her after her birth in November and spent precious time with her.
As his condition worsened, he remained selfless, even asking for Christmas gifts for his younger brother instead of himself. Before his death, he told his family he felt it was his time to become Millie’s guardian angel.
Bailey passed away on December 22, 2017, surrounded by family, who described his final moments as peaceful. Though devastated, they find comfort in his strength, love, and final wish that they take care of each other and only cry briefly before moving forward.
