Hollywood Legend Robert Redford Dies at 89

Robert Redford, the iconic actor, director, and founder of the Sundance Film Festival, has died at 89. He passed away on September 16, 2025, at his home in Sundance, Utah, surrounded by loved ones.

Known for unforgettable films like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, All the President’s Men, and Out of Africa, Redford became one of Hollywood’s most respected stars.

Beyond acting, he was an award-winning director, winning an Oscar for Ordinary People, and a champion of independent cinema through the Sundance Institute.
