The debate over public breastfeeding is nothing new, and one young mother, Trinati, is making her stance clear—despite the backlash.
Trinati proudly breastfeeds her 17-month-old daughter wherever they are, including public places like Costco. While she’s comfortable nursing in public, others often aren’t. She’s faced judgmental stares, awkward questions, and even been ushered into broom closets by store employees.
Fed up, she decided to take a stand. She had her son photograph her breastfeeding at Costco to raise awareness and normalize the act. “I never shy away from providing for my children, no matter the setting,” she said.
She’s also tired of the sexualization of breastfeeding. “These are basically udders now. I’m not trying to seduce anyone,” she joked. For her, it’s about nourishment and emotional connection.
Despite criticism from even friends and family, she stands firm: “I’ll breastfeed as long as she needs me to.” Her goal is to show her children that their needs always come first, regardless of public opinion.
“Trust begins in childhood,” she said. “And I’ll never feel shame for doing what’s best for my baby—anywhere, anytime.”
