‘As the World Turns’ Star Scott Bryce Dies at 68 After Cancer Battle

Soap opera actor Scott Bryce, best known for playing Craig Montgomery on CBS’s As the World Turns, has died at the age of 68.

His son, Jackson Bryce, confirmed the heartbreaking news in an emotional tribute, revealing that his father passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Scott was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer, which later spread to his brain. Despite undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy, Jackson said his father remained hopeful and fought until the end.

Beyond his successful acting career, Scott was remembered most as a loving father. His son shared that becoming a dad was the greatest achievement of his life.

Bryce became a fan favorite during his years on As the World Turns, portraying Craig Montgomery from 1982 to 2008. He also appeared in shows including Murphy Brown, Sex and the City, 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, Homeland and Law & Order.

Fans and colleagues are mourning the loss of a talented actor whose career spanned decades.
