Melissa Gilbert is closing a major chapter in her life as she moves out of her longtime New York City apartment.
The Little House on the Prairie star shared emotional photos of the move on Instagram, showing boxes packed throughout the home where she spent the last eight years.
Gilbert described leaving the Upper West Side as bittersweet, saying she would miss the neighborhood, friends, and memories she created there. She said she and her husband, actor Timothy Busfield, will now spend more time at their home upstate.
The move comes as Busfield faces ongoing legal challenges involving allegations of criminal sexual contact with a child under 13. Busfield has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty.
Gilbert has publicly stood by her husband, saying she believes he will be cleared.
The actress did not directly mention the legal case in her moving announcement, but described the relocation as “the end of a chapter” and a new beginning for their family.
