After losing her husband, 60-year-old Annie devoted her life to raising her son, Thomas. She worked multiple jobs, sacrificed her retirement savings, gave him $40,000 to buy an apartment next to hers, and even paid what she believed was $800 a month for her grandson Max’s daycare.
