My Birth Family Contacted Me After 31 Years with an Outrageous Request — Am I Wrong for How I Reacted?

Posted on April 30, 2025 By admin

After being adopted as a baby, Matthew’s desire to know his medical history leads him to take a DNA test. He’s shocked when it connects him to his biological family—people who claim they’ve been searching for him. Despite his indifference, they persist. Soon, messages flood in, begging him to reconnect. Then comes a desperate plea: his birth mother is dying and needs a liver transplant. He might be her only hope.

Reluctantly, Matthew agrees to meet them, only to find inconsistencies and excuses from his biological siblings—none of whom have been tested as donors. Realizing their sudden interest is not about reconciliation but survival, he walks away. His loyalty remains with the family that raised him, not the ones who abandoned him.
