Losing a child is a devastating tragedy no matter their age, something Sylvester Stallone experienced firsthand when his son Sage died in 2012 at just 36. Though initial rumors blamed drugs or suicide, the truth was more heartbreaking: Sage died of a heart attack caused by atherosclerosis, shortly after undergoing dental surgery—against his mother Sasha Czack’s advice—and taking painkillers.

Stallone, who had a tough childhood marked by bullying and an abusive home, found fame with Rocky and built a successful life despite hardships. Sage, a filmmaker and actor, shared a close bond with his father, even appearing in Rocky V. His sudden death shook the family deeply. Stallone publicly grieved, asking for compassion and respect for his son’s memory.

Today, Stallone continues forward with his wife Jennifer Flavin and their daughters, while his second son, Seargeoh, lives a quiet life out of the spotlight.
