Illinois mother charged with murder after her 2-year-old son was found dead inside their home.
Corie Walsh, 40, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder after police discovered her 2-year-old son, Barrett, hanging in the basement of their Frankfort home.
A neighbor found the child and attempted CPR, but sadly, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police also found Walsh upstairs in a bathtub with cuts to her wrists and thighs after an apparent suicide attempt.
According to prosecutors, Walsh allegedly told officers she killed her son because she believed he was the “devil” and the “anti-Christ.”
Authorities also say she had recently been discussing the Lindsay Clancy case with friends.
The investigation remains ongoing as Walsh faces serious murder charges.
