My Son’s New Wife Forced My Injured Granddaughter to Babysit Her Twins — That Was the Last Straw

Posted on September 11, 2026 By admin

My 15-year-old granddaughter Olivia lost her mother to cancer when she was eight.

After my son Scott remarried Lydia, everything changed. When Lydia and Scott had twins, Olivia slowly stopped being treated like a daughter and became free help.

Then Olivia fractured her collarbone in a school bus accident. Doctors ordered no lifting, no strain, and plenty of rest.

But while Scott was away on a four-day work trip, Lydia left Olivia alone with the twins.

With one arm in a sling, Olivia was forced to cook, clean, and chase toddlers while Lydia went shopping, to brunch, and out drinking with friends.

I discovered the truth during a video call.

Olivia was sitting on the floor, pale and exhausted, while one of the twins pulled at her sling.

“Where’s Lydia?” I asked.

“She said she needed a break,” Olivia whispered.

That was when I snapped.

I didn’t call Lydia. I didn’t call my son.

Instead, I went straight to the storage room in Scott’s house—a place I still had access to.

I found four old combination-lock suitcases.

And I knew exactly what I was going to do with them.
