6 Types of Acne & What Your Skin Is Telling You

Posted on September 12, 2026 By admin

Not every acne bump is the same! 😳

Some are small and painless, while others are deep, painful, and may leave scars.

6 Types of Acne

  1. Whiteheads – Closed pores clogged with oil and dead skin.
  2. Blackheads – Open clogged pores that turn dark from air, not dirt.
  3. Papules – Small, red, tender bumps caused by inflammation.
  4. Pustules – Red pimples with a white or yellow pus-filled center.
  5. Nodules – Deep, hard, painful lumps that may leave scars.
  6. Cysts – Large, painful bumps deep under the skin that can cause scarring.

⚠️ When to see a doctor?

If acne is deep, painful, persistent, or leaving scars, a dermatologist can help.
