Minnesota Pastor Dies Weeks After Devastating Cruise Ship Accident at 58 💔
Steve Junker, a beloved Minnesota pastor, died on September 4 after suffering a severe spinal cord injury during a family cruise in Italy.
The trip was meant to celebrate his son’s wedding. Instead, Steve was found unresponsive in a pool after a fall on August 16.
After emergency surgery at Mayo Clinic, he remained on a ventilator and unable to feel below his chest. Despite his condition, he was able to communicate with his family and share precious moments with his loved ones.
Sadly, doctors later confirmed his injuries were not treatable.
Steve passed away surrounded by his wife, children, parents, and friends.
Remembered for his faith, kindness, and devotion to his family, he leaves behind five children and a grandson.
His church shared a heartbreaking tribute:
“He closed his eyes to this life and opened his eyes to Jesus.”
His funeral was held on September 11.
