Fitness Influencer Carly Douglas Dies at 36 After Stage 4 Cancer Diagnosis
South Carolina fitness influencer and mother of three Carly Douglas has died at 36, just three months after revealing her stage 4 stomach cancer diagnosis.
Douglas passed away on June 13, according to a heartbreaking statement shared on her Instagram account. She was known for her fitness, home organization and family content, inspiring more than 137,000 followers with her positivity, faith and resilience.
In March, Carly tearfully announced her diagnosis, describing it as “living in a nightmare.” Despite the devastating news, she remained determined to fight for her children and loved ones.
Throughout her final months, she shared updates from chemotherapy and hospital visits, continuing to encourage others through her unwavering faith.
Carly is survived by her husband, David, and their three children, River, Faye and Townes. Her family remembered her as “pure sunshine,” whose smile, laughter and kindness touched everyone around her.
Her loved ones said she treasured every moment with her children and shared a deep, loving bond with her husband, whom she considered her best friend.
