Before Ethan met my parents, I asked him to dress like he had nothing: old jeans, a faded shirt, and worn sneakers. Ethan was actually the son of a wealthy hotel and real estate tycoon, but I wanted my father to judge him without knowing his family’s money.
Dad immediately questioned Ethan’s shoes, job, car, and future. By dessert, he finally snapped.
“My daughter won’t be with someone who can’t provide. Get out!”
Ethan calmly called his driver.
Minutes later, a black Bentley stopped outside.
Dad froze when Ethan revealed who his father was. Suddenly, Dad wanted him back inside.
