If you’re the type to jump up the moment a plane lands, Turkey has a message: not anymore.
The Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation is cracking down on impatient flyers. New rules allow cabin crews to report passengers who stand up, open bins, or rush the aisle before it’s their row’s turn. Offenders could face fines up to 2,603 lira (about $67 USD).
The directive aims to curb common in-flight behaviors like unbuckling too early, standing before taxiing ends, and cutting ahead — actions officials say disrupt order and endanger safety.
