Barron Trump’s childhood was unlike any other. Growing up in Trump Tower, he lived a life of luxury, and at age 11, moved into the White House—becoming the first “first son” to live there since JFK Jr.
Melania Trump fiercely protected Barron’s privacy, so little is known about his life in Washington. However, one notable moment came when he hosted a White House field trip for his classmates, giving them a special behind-the-scenes experience, including meeting President Trump and Melania.
From a young age, Barron showed creativity. Melania encouraged his imagination—he even had freedom to draw on the walls of his personal floor in Trump Tower. She once said, “We let him be creative… He draws on the walls, we can paint it over.”
After Donald Trump’s election in 2016, Melania delayed moving to the White House so Barron could finish the school year at Columbia Grammar & Prep in NYC. He later attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Maryland during Trump’s presidency.
Public sightings of Barron were rare, usually limited to family trips on Air Force One. The White House and Melania asked the media to respect his privacy, and Melania often acted as his spokesperson to shield him from scrutiny—even getting angry when Trump shared a meme involving their son.
Before moving to D.C., Barron was eager to invite school friends for sleepovers at the White House. In 2017, he brought about 80 classmates for a tour, lunch, and a speech from the president—an unforgettable day for his friends.
Now 17, Barron is finishing high school at Oxbridge Academy in Florida. He recently received threats, resulting in the arrest of the suspect. Donald and Melania are reportedly considering colleges in New York, possibly Wharton, Donald Trump’s alma mater.
