Violet ended her radio show with the declaration, “All men are liars,” a belief shaped by her life experiences and listener stories. However, a date with a coworker, James, made her question that view. After receiving a call from a woman claiming to be his girlfriend, Violet was convinced she was right.
During the show, Violet gave blunt relationship advice to a caller, Susan, stating that all men were either cheating or dishonest. James disagreed, but Violet stood by her belief. After their show, James asked Violet on a date, hoping to prove not all men were the same. At a cozy restaurant, they shared a pleasant evening, but Violet remained wary of love due to past betrayals.
Later, Violet received a call from James’s girlfriend, Jane, which shattered her budding trust in him. The next day at the station, Violet confronted James, who was caught in a lie. But after overhearing a heated conversation between James and Jane, Violet realized James had been truthful all along. Apologizing, she acknowledged that not all men were liars—and maybe, not all women were either. They decided to give things another try.
