Meghan Trainor: The Rise, Fall, and Comeback of a Pop Star
Few realize that the voice behind the viral hit “Made You Look” is Meghan Trainor, once catapulted to fame with “All About That Bass”. At just 21, she shattered beauty norms and topped charts for eight weeks, becoming a symbol of body positivity and pop promise.
Her debut album Title (2015) was a commercial hit, and she won a Grammy for Best New Artist. But the so-called “Grammy curse” hit hard — later albums struggled, and multiple vocal surgeries further stalled her career. Despite releasing new music, Trainor faded from the spotlight.
In 2018, she married actor Daryl Sabara and welcomed two sons, Riley (2021) and Barry (2023). Motherhood brought joy but also challenges. After her second birth, Trainor experienced a severe panic attack and realized she needed help, later opening up about her struggles with postpartum depression and PTSD.
Trainor transformed her mental and physical health with therapy, fitness, and support from her family and doctors. She also turned to weight-loss drug Mounjaro and underwent cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation. She’s been candid about both the benefits and drawbacks, urging others not to judge her changing appearance.
TikTok revived her career in 2020, where older hits like “NO” and “Me Too” went viral. Her 2022 album Takin’ It Back reintroduced her signature sound, and tracks like “Made You Look” became social media sensations. As she puts it, “TikTok pulled me out of the darkness.”
Now a mother of two and open advocate for mental health, Trainor continues to balance fame, family, and self-care — reminding others to ask for help and never feel ashamed of doing so.
