Prince Harry and Donald Trump have had a tense relationship, and it didn’t improve after Harry mocked the former president during a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
After moving to California, Harry said he has no plans to seek U.S. citizenship, even though Trump previously suggested he could be deported. The dispute resurfaced after Harry admitted in his memoir Spare to past drug use, raising questions about his visa.
Despite Trump claiming he “wouldn’t protect” Harry if reelected, the Duke hadn’t responded publicly—until his late-night sketch with Colbert. While joking about America’s fascination with royalty, Harry quipped, “Really? I heard you elected a king,” drawing boos from the audience and taking a clear jab at Trump.
