11-year-old dies because of online trend

Posted on December 6, 2025 By admin

Children don’t always understand the danger behind online trends — some can even be deadly.

A family is facing unimaginable heartbreak after their 11-year-old son died while attempting a viral TikTok challenge. They now want to warn others.

The trend, involving inhaling dangerous gases like deodorant or glue to get high, led to the sudden death of 11-year-old Tommie-Lee Billington during a sleepover. His heart stopped instantly.

His mother is urging parents to talk to their children and be aware of what they see online. “This cost my son his life… Please talk to your children about the consequences,” she wrote.

She promises to keep his memory alive so no other family has to face the same pain.
