Little girl was abandoned by dad who said she was ‘dead’ to him – now she’s a famous actress

Posted on December 9, 2025 By admin

In 1975, a member of The Hudson Brothers met actress Goldie Hawn on a flight, and their connection was instant. They began dating quickly, and in 1976 they married while expecting their first child. Their son’s birth was frightening as he nearly died from a serious condition but survived, which they called a “miracle.” In 1979, they welcomed a daughter.

Despite some happy years, the marriage fell apart in 1981 after the musician discovered Goldie had been unfaithful and wanted an open marriage, while he wanted a traditional one.

After their split, Goldie began dating actor Kurt Russell in 1983. They blended their families, which was challenging, but her children grew close to Kurt, seeing him as their father figure. Their biological father, Bill Hudson, has publicly accused Goldie of turning the children against him, leading to a long and strained relationship.

The tension escalated in 2015 when Oliver Hudson posted a harsh Father’s Day message aimed at Bill, later followed by Kate’s tribute to Kurt. Bill responded by cutting ties, stating that both children were “dead” to him. Meanwhile, Kate and Oliver credit Kurt for stepping in and remain focused on the family they built with him.
