Natalie “Octomom” Suleman became famous in 2009 after giving birth to the world’s first surviving octuplets, expanding her family to 14 children. The pregnancies were the result of IVF overseen by Dr. Michael Kamrava, whose medical license was later revoked for gross negligence after implanting 12 embryos.
Suleman’s sudden fame brought controversy and financial struggles. She pursued unconventional work to support her family, filed for bankruptcy in 2012, and later faced welfare fraud charges, receiving probation and community service.
In recent years, Suleman has stepped away from the spotlight, working as a counselor and living a quieter life focused on her children. Her octuplets turned 15 in January 2024, a milestone she proudly celebrated as they grow into young adults.
