Just hours before tragedy, Romy Reiner, 28, shared a casual Instagram Story supporting her father, Rob Reiner, posting a screen showing This Is Spinal Tap and its sequel with the caption: “Go watch.”
Soon after, Romy made the devastating discovery of her parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, dead in their Los Angeles home. She called 911, reportedly warning police that a family member “should be a suspect” because they were “dangerous.”
Romy had appeared close to her father, sharing photos together just weeks earlier. She now mourns alongside her older brother Jake (34) and half-sister Tracy Reiner (61), who said she is “in shock.” Friends, including Billy Crystal and Larry David, visited the family to offer support.
Rob’s son, Nick Reiner, 32, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his parents. Initially set at $4 million bail, he is now held without bail and is set to appear in court on December 16, 2025.
