Usha Vance, the Second Lady of the United States, has spoken about her relationship with First Lady Melania Trump, noting that while they are different, they get along “pretty well.”
Formerly a top trial lawyer, Usha stepped away from her career after her husband, JD Vance, became vice president, saying she wanted to focus on family and her role as Second Lady. She has kept a low public profile but recently joined Melania Trump on a visit to a military base in North Carolina.
In an interview with USA Today, Usha said she enjoys aspects of her new life while missing some normalcy. She praised Melania as focused and effective, saying she puts all her energy into her work and “gets things done, step by step.”
Usha added that she’s enjoyed traveling with Melania and bonding over family life, calling her approach an inspiration.
