Gut-wrenching remark Rob Reiner made about his ‘bad’ son months before being killed

Posted on December 18, 2025 By admin

What began as a joyful, star-filled Christmas party ended in one of Hollywood’s most devastating tragedies. On December 13, 2025, filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, attended Conan O’Brien’s holiday gathering. By the next afternoon, they were found brutally murdered in their Brentwood home.

Sources say a heated argument broke out at the party between Rob and his son, Nick Reiner. Hours later, Rob and Michele were dead. Michele had reportedly confided to friends about ongoing struggles with Nick’s mental health and substance issues, saying, “We’ve tried everything.”

Nick Reiner, 32, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Authorities confirmed the couple died from multiple sharp force injuries, and the deaths were ruled homicides.

Just months earlier, the family appeared united at a red-carpet premiere, making the tragedy even more heartbreaking. In a past interview, Rob’s words now feel haunting: “We love all our children, even the bad ones.”

The Reiner family has asked for privacy, urging the public to remember Rob and Michele for the lives they lived — not the way they died.
