A couple managed to survive nearly 66 days at sea, and people are just shocked at how they managed to stay alive for so long in desperate surroundings.
The couple was reportedly shipwrecked when their yacht was turned over by a group of whales, alongside the coast of Costa Rica. But what happened next was different altogether.

William and Simone Butler were three weeks into a journey that revolved around traveling around the globe. Little did they know what was ahead of them.

The pair reportedly scrambled to grab food, fishing gear, and a 7-pound pump dubbed Survivor 35, which was a manually operated pump that converts saltwater to fresh water. This was before they got on board the rubber raft.
That quick thinking is said to be pivotal for their survival. For more than two months, they ate mostly raw fish and prayed that someone would find them. In the end, their prayers came to life when they were rescued by the Costa Rican Coast Guard and taken to a hospital in the coastal city of Golfito.
