Ellen DeGeneres is breaking her silence and speaking in a manner that’s unusual for the star.
Ellen shared a recent public political statement addressing the recent fatal shooting of Minneapolis resident Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent, whose death sparked nationwide outrage and protests.

In a video that was posted through her social media account, the comedian shared how sad she was about the violence and unrest taking place in the country. She also shared her special bond with Minneapolis because she had filmed her final stand-up special there. For her, it used to be the ‘Happiest in America,’ and today it’s a whole different scenario.

Ellen shared thoughts and support with the residents during this difficult time. In her last message, she acknowledged all the demonstrations that followed Good’s death, while expressing deep sorrow for anyone hurt during these protests. Alongside the video, she shared another post featuring an image of Good and added her own terms of sadness, anger, and concern on top of a tribute.
