‘Walking Tall’ Star And James Bond Actor Passed Away 89

Actor Joe Don Baker, known for playing Sheriff Buford Pusser in the 1973 film Walking Tall, has died at age 89. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Baker was famous for portraying rugged “tough guy” characters in film and TV. His career began with stage and television roles, later gaining fame through Westerns and movies such as The Natural and Cape Fear.

He also appeared in the James Bond: The Living Daylights as a villain and later played CIA agent Jack Wade in GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies. Baker retired from acting in 2012.
