Many people may have valuable items hidden in their homes without realizing it, according to Matt Paxton, star of Filthy Fortunes and former expert on Hoarders.
Paxton believes millions of people may have at least $10,000–$20,000 worth of forgotten valuables in their homes, including cash, gold, or rare collectibles. His team searches unusual places such as medicine cabinets, freezers, and even old envelopes, since treasures can sometimes be hidden inside everyday items.
He also shared that they once found about $50,000 worth of gold coins stored inside an old chocolate box, showing that valuable items can be stored in the most unexpected places.
