Adopted baby with Down syndrome goes viral after smiling for mom

Few things are as heartwarming as a baby’s big smile. A video shared by the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network went viral after showing an adopted baby with Down Syndrome beaming with joy at her adoptive mother. The touching clip has been viewed more than 14 million times.

The baby’s happiness clearly shows she feels safe and loved in her new family.

The organization, founded in 1982 by Robin Steele and David Steele after they adopted a girl with Down syndrome named Martha, works to ensure every child with the condition has the chance to grow up in a loving home.

Moments like this simple, joyful smile remind us how powerful love and family can be. 💛
