Authorities have identified the six family members who died in a devastating house fire in Clarksville, Ohio, earlier this month: Brooke Gordon and her five children, Zayden, 10; Hudson, 8; Ashton, 6; Bostyn, 2; and Tomlyn, 9 months. The fire occurred around 6:40 a.m. on March 3, and when firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed.
One adult survivor, Brooke’s fiancé and the children’s father, Tommy Allen Jr., escaped with serious injuries and is being treated at Miami Valley Hospital. Eight firefighters were also injured responding to the blaze.
A GoFundMe campaign organized by family friend Pamela Hauck has raised over $57,000 of its $90,000 goal to help cover funeral costs and support Allen Jr. as he recovers. Hauck described Brooke as a devoted mother and said the loss is heartbreaking for the community.
Three of the children attended schools in the Clinton-Massie Local School District, which said the tragedy deeply affected students, staff, and the broader community.
The Ohio Department of Commerce is investigating the cause of the fire.
