Patient transporter goes viral after singing for patients

Posted on March 12, 2026 By admin

Music has the power to comfort, inspire, and calm people in difficult moments. At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, patient transporter Lindon Beckford has been using his voice to do just that for over 30 years.

Beckford, who has loved singing since childhood, began singing to comfort himself at work but soon realized patients were listening and feeling better. Now he often sings while transporting them, choosing songs that match their mood and help ease their anxiety.

Many patients say his singing makes stressful trips to procedures much easier, proving that a simple song can bring powerful comfort when people need it most. 🎶
