Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith has praised the Princess of Wales after she completed the National Three Peaks Challenge during her cancer recovery.
Goldsmith said the achievement reminded him of Kate’s childhood love of nature and hiking, calling the moment “awestruck.” The challenge involved climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales within 24 hours to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Goldsmith also opened up about his own health battle after nearly dying in 2025 due to complications from liver disease. He revealed that he changed his lifestyle, lost weight, and received support from his sister Carole Middleton and the wider family.
He said Kate encouraged him to take better care of himself, get more rest, and live a healthier life.
Goldsmith has previously faced controversy, including a 2017 assault conviction involving his wife, which later drew criticism when he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother UK.
