Clara and her husband, Philip, eagerly await their first child, but their excitement quickly turns to frustration when Philip’s overbearing mother, Diane, becomes obsessively involved. Diane starts calling the baby “her” baby and hijacks the baby shower, turning it into a circus-themed disaster. When she crosses the line by insisting on taking control of the nursery and spreading rumors about Clara and Philip, Clara sets firm boundaries to protect her family.
