Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Separate After 19 Years of Marriage
Nicole Kidman, 58, and Keith Urban, 57, have separated after nearly two decades together, PEOPLE confirmed. The couple married in June 2006 and share two daughters: Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.
Sources say the separation was largely driven by Urban, who had grown unhappy in the relationship due to emotional distance and conflicting schedules. Kidman, reportedly blindsided, had been working to save the marriage. Her sister Antonia has been a key support during this time.
Though Kidman posted a heartfelt anniversary tribute in June, Urban did not share one—unlike previous years. The two have reportedly been living apart since early summer, with Kidman filming Practical Magic 2 in London and Urban on tour in North America.
In the months leading up to the split, Kidman was still seen wearing her wedding ring and publicly spoke of their love. However, Urban’s absence from her Portugal residency application and his quiet social media presence hinted at growing distance.
Despite past struggles—including Urban’s battle with addiction early in their marriage—the couple often publicly celebrated their relationship. However, this time, sources suggest reconciliation is uncertain.
Reps for both have declined to comment.
