Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a seven-year-old boy who passed away after getting his head stuck in a car window while his drugged-up mother was passed out in the front seat, as per cops who shared her with murder.
Mazi Simmons was found in an unconscious state and not breathing with his head hanging out of the back window of a car parked outside an Atlanta home in April, as per a warrant obtained by People Magazine.
His mother happened to be passed out in the driver’s seat with the other kids also inside the car at the time.
The mother was arrested on Monday and charged with second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to children. A blood and urine test was positive for opioids and THC, as stated by the warrant.
A witness shared with the cops how Grace ended up stopping by his residence at about 10 pm the night before and decided to leave the children in the car because she didn’t wish for them to enter inside.
She left shortly after that, the police mentioned. The next morning, the witness saw Grace’s car inside the parking lot with her young son’s head hanging out of the window, as detailed in the warrant. The mom was unable to speak to the police due to her overdose and is now being held at the Fulton County Jail, as investigations continue.
