Lady Beckham and Sir David: A Royal Milestone
Following soccer legend David Beckham’s knighthood by King Charles III at Windsor Castle on November 4, 2025, his wife, Victoria Beckham, has also gained a new title — Lady Beckham.
The ceremony, shared online by the royal family and the Beckhams, showed David kneeling before the King, who tapped his shoulders with a ceremonial sword before bestowing the medal. Dressed in a tailored suit beside Victoria in a sleek navy dress and fascinator, the newly titled Sir David exuded humility and pride as they later posed outside the castle with his parents.
The royal family captioned the moment: “Arise, Sir David Beckham. ✨ The King presented Sir David Beckham with a Knighthood for Services to Sport and to Charity.”
Online reactions poured in — many congratulating him, others commenting on his brief exchange with the King. While some debated royal etiquette, others praised both men’s composure and warmth.
Sir David shared his gratitude on Instagram, reflecting on his journey from East London to global football fame. He thanked his teammates, fans, and especially his family, writing, “All I’ve ever wanted is to make my family proud… my beautiful wife who’s been by my side for 28 years.”
Victoria also posted a heartfelt tribute: “No one loves England or respects our Royal Family more. I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir @davidbeckham, we love you so much.”
With David’s knighthood, Victoria officially becomes Lady Beckham — a title she embraces as a symbol of nearly three decades of shared love, legacy, and devotion.
